Aisha Rahman
With over 15 years of experience practicing family law, Aisha Rahman is a recognized expert in her field, frequently called upon to teach Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses by esteemed organizations such as the American Bar Association and the National Council for Juvenile and Family Court Judges. Her deep understanding of both the theory and practice of law positions her as a trusted authority in navigating complex family law matters. Before founding Rahman Family Law in 2017, Aisha served as the leader of a global legal organization in Washington, D.C., where she worked to advance justice and equity on a large scale. Atlanta, her home during her years at Emory University, has once again become her base as she provides high-quality, culturally sensitive legal counsel to families across Georgia. Aisha’s career reflects an unwavering commitment to justice, with a special focus on advocating for underserved communities and survivors of domestic violence. Her practice combines extensive legal expertise with a compassionate, client-centered approach, offering individuals and families the support and advocacy they need to navigate life’s most challenging transitions.

Abby Akins
Abby Akins is a dedicated and passionate paralegal assistant at Rahman Family Law, bringing extensive experience across family law, employment law, and business litigation. With a detail-oriented approach and a commitment to helping others, Abby plays a vital role in supporting the firm’s clients through every stage of the legal process. She assists the lead attorney as second chair in court proceedings, manages client relations and intake, reviews and analyzes cases, and handles the preparation and filing of pleadings and discovery in Georgia state and federal courts. A notary public and skilled legal researcher, Abby also coordinates service of process, conducts discovery review and production, and ensures seamless preparation for bench trials, jury trials, and court hearings. Her organizational expertise and dedication to client success make her an invaluable member of the Rahman Family Law team. When not assisting attorneys and clients, Abby enjoys spending time with her family and rescue animals, wake surfing, attending concerts, exploring the outdoors, and creating art. Her passion for advocacy and her ability to navigate complex legal matters with precision reflect her commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those she supports.
